So London Fashion Week has come to an end, even though dame Vivienne showed earlier on in the week i thought i would save this post till last. I was highly anticipating this show as most people that know me, know how much i love Viv and her work. i wasnt disappointed with this collection, the vivid makeup, wild hair and exquisite headpieces scream Westwood. I love the tailored pant suit (second picture shown), definately one of my favourite ensembles. Hope you all enjoyed this collection as much as me!

Meadham Kirchoff Spring/Summer 2012
Yet again everyone is blown away by Meadham Kirchoff's show at london fashion week. The candy colours, frills, glitter and those shoes stole the show. Luckily thanks to the Topshop website i could watch the whole show, and what a show, the dancers at the begining really added to the atmosphere. This show was basically a little girls dream, and to be honest i would definately wear some of these pieces myself.

Viktor and Rolf s/s 2011
So ive started my second year at Uclan where im studying Fashion Design. We were given our new brief last thursday and so far so good! Its called 'Silhouettes and Details: Shape and Exploration, its a two part brief, the second part will begin after christmas. Our outcome from this project is to design and make a couture shirt - basically a shirt which we then add our own twist to, to make it something new and fresh. Im so excited with this brief, to many ideas at the moment and not much time to get them all down in my sketchbook!
Im going to have updates of how the brief is going and i'll take lots of photos when it comes to 3D exploration and the making..so watch this space...

Julien Macdonald Spring/Summer 2012 Ready to wear.
I was pleasantly suprised by this collection from Julien Macdonald., especially the monochrome colour palette with flashes of yellow, blue and coral. Dresses layered over jumpers and trousers, sharp silhouettes and tailored jackets graced the catwalk this season. Macdonald's inspiration for this collection was the leather and chrome of the yachts in Monte carlo and Julian described it as 'modernist glamour'. Overall one of the nicest collections ive seen from him.
Henry Holland Spring 2012 Ready to Wear.
Love love love! Henry Holland continues to wow everyone (including myself) with this astounding collection. The combination of tartan, snake skin and leopard print is clearly bonkers but the pieces work so well together. The leopard maxi (last picture shown) is one of my favourite pieces from this seasons collection, the enlarged print takes leopard to a whole other level! The pastel colours in contrast with the leather collars and shorts make the garments more edgy, rather than looking girly. This is without a doubt one of my favourite collections from lfw spring 2012, and personally i would love to own every one of these pieces.
